In the coming months, The Community Transport Company (TCTC) will relocate its administration offices currently located in Macksville and Coffs Harbour to a central new home in Toormina.
There will be no changes to transport services for all our customers located in our service area.
The move has been necessitated due to the Coffs Harbour Regional Council’s plans to redevelop the company’s current depo, as part of Airport Enterprise Park.
The Community Transport Company, Chief Executive Officer, Bethany Langford said the move will have a positive impact for the community, allowing the organisation to expand into social enterprise programs and increase its service delivery for transport services.
“The new building will be a custom fit out to house our vehicles, staff and volunteers, it was found after a long search for the right location. It was the only building that suited our specific needs and purposes,” Ms. Langford said.
“Being under the one roof will also save the organisation a substantial amount of money in overheads creating opportunity to reinvest in social enterprise programs,” she said.
“It has long been the vision and mission of TCTC to facilitate programs aimed at creating employment for people who are disadvantaged and this space will help us deliver those programs.”
“We have worked closely with our staff and volunteers to ensure they understand the reasons behind the move, support will continue during the process.”
All vehicles located in the Bellingen and Nambucca area will remain housed at their current location.
A BBQ for staff and volunteers will be held Saturday 23 May to explain the logistics and answer any questions they might have.
All customers using community transport will receive a letter in the mail in the coming weeks, explaining the changes.
